Good day, i tried to find the answer in other threads but only found a answer for a mci5.
My 1999  102dl3 takes a long time to fill the tag axles, the left side takes a long time to level up and the @$# end drops fairly quickly after the bus is shut down.  I am guessing that i have a air leak around one or more leveling valves but can not hear anything. Going to try some soap and water to see if i can find anything. Does it seem that my thoughts on a valve are going the right direction

Don't limit your thinking.

These boards are full of over analytical misdirection.

No conclusions beyond the observation that the rear lowers quickly, and takes a long time to build.

If there's a leak, it will make noise, curiously go looking.

Leaking air noises are good at bouncing, when you think you have it, feel for it, and if still MIA, come at it from another direction to defend against the echo.

Having an external compressor to keep air in the coach, with a really long hose so you can put the compressor around the corner so you can hear takes away the frustration of crawling out over and over to start the engine to re-fill.

On the DL3 the tag suspension air is controlled by the drive axle height valves in normal operation. The DL3 also has a high rise feature which uses a combination of solenoids and shuttle valves fed by an air tank in the engine compartment. There are also tag unloader valves located inside the curbside engine access door. There are several components in play for the tag axle suspension so I would study the schematic and familiarize yourself with the operation and then start hunting.
Some are called, some are sent, some just got up and went.

Thanks for the knowledge, i did notice when i hit the raise switch it sure does lift the bus. I will get more invalved in my search after i get my manuals and become more familiar with the sytem. My 89 mci and the 89 prevost never gave me these isues.
