Bus has been sitting since last Nov. Started up to take a short trip but would not take much throttle then goes flat.

Just a thought - but sounds like fuel delivery issues

Check the fast idle holding cylinder on top of the governor it may not be retracted ,a 92 series will take throttle with a stuck injector or 2

Tell that to Red Rider,,after a tow home found number three right side stuck solid.. 6V92TA quit climbing on Imagration pass, Utah,, no heating or any other symptoms and would not start or even pop afterward. Got it to start and idle but no throttle...  Runs great now.>>>Dan

Depends on the fuel control rods, Mikey had the old style rods not the spring loaded type .remember they would back off and you drilled and added safety wire to prevent that.No info on what we are dealing with he could have a DDEC or or throttle delay engine that the delay cylinder is stuck

With the new style rods if one injector is stuck, the arm for it just sits there and all the other arms work normally, and you get power on all the other cylinders.  I swapped to the new spring loaded arms and control rods when I built my NATO spec engine.  It came with the old rigid arms, but the old worn out engine had jake brakes, the o-ring style fuel tubs and the spring loaded arms and rods - it all went onto the new engine!

That was on the 8V71 he had,, today's engine is a 1975 non DDEC or throttle delay 6V92TA .. We first thought it was a blower drive,, but we were getting fuel to the filters and pressure at the pump, so went thru the injectors to find number three stuck solid .. He replaced all three on that side and readjusted everything from the valves up... Runs perfectly  so he is happy again.>>>D
