Hi Jerry, I fixed the link
Nick-

I wish I could drive to an American gas station to buy my fuel - diesel is over $9 a gallon here

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

I wonder how much it would cost to Fedex fuel to the UK?

No matter how hard I try, when I stop for fuel it is ALWAYS cheaper at the next exit!!!!! Must be some kind of law.
Remember, even at a Mensa convention someone is the dumbest person in the room!

I remember in 2002 stopping at the first exit in a town to get gasoline.  It was a sky high (at the time) $1.70.  We proceeded to the next exit and gasoline was at the then normal price of around $1.40.

We were headed cross country on I-80 and noticed a pattern of the first exit in town usually had higher prices when the towns were far apart.  Not generally 25 or 30 cents more, but more nonetheless.

Never stop at the first station off the freeway.  Go into town a ways and the price is always cheaper for gas.  Now in a bus that is not always the case as some of the in town stations don't have the room for a big bus and also don't sell as much deisel so there could be little creepy things or water in the fuel.
Was in the business for 30 years.
