There's a post separator that for some reason is disabled by default in Curve css.  I enabled it and it's displayed on pc but not mobile.  Nothing I can see in responsive css that should affect it.  Posted a question in mod support topic, will see if I get a response tomorrow.

I'm not sure if this has been posted about before but here's two glitches I've noticed:

1. In old posts like this (https://www.busconversionmagazine.com/forum/index.php?topic=364.0;all) I'm seeing a weird symbol when people hit space twice to start a new sentence or other added spaces. It makes old threads tough to read.

2. When searching linking from google to "print-page" threads, the link redirects to the main forum page instead of going to the thread. For example, searching google for "t&l relay bus" the fourth link down doesn't direct to the thread. Not sure if this is worth fixing, but I've run into it a few times.

That topic is from 2006, odd characters may be due to original utf-8 conversion.  When database was upgraded after migration, some tables were utf-8, most were not.  After I converted all tables, most of the bad characters were fixed.  Would guess this is due to age of the posts.  May be able to fix it with db query, but I'd have to try it on my test install first.  This is a very large, very old db, don't want to screw it up.

This printpage link works -

https://www.busconversionmagazine.com/forum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=364.0

Google link does not -

https://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?action=printpage;topic=364.0

It's being redirected from the old server address, Google hasn't updated all links to current address yet.  I can tinker with the redirect, but it was supposed to be a temporary measure until old domain is moved and server shut down.  Don't know where we are with that.

Post away - if you see issues, want to add comments, suggestions, etc.

Thank you, Phil

This thing is inserting a question mark (?) for a (") quotation symbol, it is also doing the same thing with the apostrophe mark.

Why is it that I cannot see my past posts file?

What's up with this?

Someone mentioned that earlier.  "Do'esn't hap"pen t'o me", must be a browser glitch.  Which browser are you using?  Didn't happen in your previous post, (") is displayed correctly.

Not sure what you're asking.  If you look in Profile -> Show Posts, you have 113 pages of posts listed back to 2009.

The second post was cleaned up (edited) that is why it looked better.  I am using Chrome/Google for the browser.  As for the profile page it has "no show posts" or "previous post" listed anywhere.  Where you are seeing the 113 posts is beyond me, they do not appear on my end.

I will try a different browser.

Basic problem in a nutshell:  Show previous posts of this person does not show in my profile page.  Okay, here is what I have discovered.  This is happening when using Chrome, Mozilla, but it will show in Safari.

I will work around it.

For reasons unknown, Hero Member group has very few permissions, you shouldn't even be able to post.  Surprised no one else has mentioned this.  Just checked my test install, permissions are the same in original database after upgrade, that's what came over from old install.  I'll change a few things, you should see an additional top menu in Profile.

I've hacked into your account on test install running the original upgraded database, seeing same thing you're seeing in IE11 & FF60, 'Profile Info' menu is not displayed.  Hacked second Hero account, registered new test member, same thing.  Permissions are correct for all of these accounts to see the menu.  You're seeing the menu in Safari?

I'm on FF61. I can see my profile menu - it's listed in the orange 'modify profile' button on the top left of the screen.

After doing a bit of testing, if I click on the profile name of other members and view their profile there is a link on the lower left to see the member's posts. It's called 'show posts'.

However, if I click on the link to view my own profile while I'm logged in I can modify my profile settings, but there is no link to view my previous posts.

If you're using dropdown menus, there should be 3 buttons across the top - 'Profile Info', 'Modify Profile', 'Actions'.  If you're using sidebar menus, there should be three menu blocks on left side, with same titles.  'Profile Info' is missing in both views, that's what I'm seeing on test install.

Just created a test account here, gave him 600 posts so he's in Hero group, he sees only 'Modify Profile', other two menus are missing.  Permissions are correct.  No clue what's causing this.  My admin account sees everything normally, so it must be something in group permissions.

That is what I stated before.

Everything else is snafu in Mozilla and Chrome.

Ok, everyone should see the Profile Info menu now, which includes post history.
