Depends, how are you going to use your bus? Spray foam is the ultimate, it stops rattles and squeaks, seals leaks, waterproofs and quiets the bus. Has a higher R value.  But the last price I heard was $1500. Don't bother with the do it yourself kits you can buy. Cheaper, better and less of a mess to hire it done.
If you are going to keep the bus forever and full time, might be worth it. If useing the bus on a casual basis the foam board might be a better way to go.

Personally I'd have sprayed professionally! Then you know it's right and will keep ya warm on a cold night, or cool on a hot day! Last I knew of Jack Conrad was the man to contact for getting a fair price on getting it done right! (but ya gotta get it to his area) FWIW! BK  ;D

That stuff has really gone up in price. When I had my bus done in 2000 it was $1000. I had one done about 1 year ago it was $2000.  Actually if all you are interested in is R factor, I think the best bang for your buck is 2 layers of 3/4" R Max like they sell at Lowe's or Home Depot. This is the polyisocyanate (tan colored foam) with a layer of aluminum foil on one side.  The R factor will almost equal the spray foam.   The spray foam will give an additional advantage of preventing any condensation forming in the walls and sealing all air leaks.  Jack

What I did was to strip the interior to the metal.  Then screwed lengthwise 1x2 fir strips 12" apart to both give the wall more thickness and to have a base to screw wall plywood to.  Then had 2.25" spray foam insulation ground down even with the 1x2's.  Really works well and makes the walls and ceiling stiffer.  12 years ago cost $1,600.  Good Luck, TomC

I had my bus sprayed and I can head you in the direction of a couple of spray foam people in Alb NM.

I'm not sure what the cost would be now but I worked out a deal with one guy -- had to have it done on a weekend.

Let me know if I can be of any help. The professional spray foam is much harder and more dense than the stuff you do your self.

I cleaned mine up myself but they will do that also if you want.

Let me know if I can help.
