Sikaflex in Chicago

I need ONE lousy tube of Sikaflex 252 and I live in Chicago. I've been told International Bus and Parts has it but also has a 4 tube minimum. The marine places just carry sikaflex 291. Thanks in advance.

Hi Op 91,

You made me run to my shop, cause I have 1 tube of 252.   Sorry to say, it's hard as a rock! Shelf life isn't very long with sika.

Oh well, I tried.... It's now in the dumpster.

PS.......whatever you do, be sure it fresh.....suggest less than 3 month old from manufacturer's distributor to supplier (it moisture cure process) and follow prep instruction.

This is one of few moisture curing products that should never be on shelve for later project.

Sika keeps for a long time just fine IF you put it in a fridge.  Also the primer keeps well in a fridge.
They don't tell you that, but I've had excellent success with tubes stored cold that had been previously opened, over a year old!!!
It works just as well as fresh....

Keep it in refrigerator will keep but when you are ready to use it...let it warm to room temperature before apply otherwise condensation occur on cold Sika's skin to cure sooner then you want to.

This works with several other types of adhesives also. I keep partially used tubes of 3M 5200 adhesive, tubes of GOOP, and windshield urethane sealant in our freezer. I have used them over a year after storing them.  As jerry mentioned, allow them to come to room temperature before using.  Jack
