Just a friendly reminder that we are in the process of upgrading the Forum software.  Within the next two weeks we will be shutting down the Forum for a bit; from an hour to a few hours to make the transition. Then it will be back online for you to see the new bells and whistles we will have as mentioned in a previous post.

We will let you know when we will be making this transition before we shut it down to give you some warning.  Both Phil and I want to thank you in advance for your patience during the transition.  We are planning to move all 380,000 previous posts over to the new Forum on a new server which as you can imagine is no small feat.  We do not anticipate any problems but with that much data, we cannot guarantee a 100% success rate but Phil is working very hard to ensure we come as close to 100% as possible.

Phil Lyons as you know is our CFM (Chief Forum Moderator) and this is his baby.  If you like the job Phil is doing for basically peanuts every month because he likes to help out the bus conversion community, then plz send some Kudos his way.   You can send him Kudos here, or via Private Message, or the Contact Us page and choosing Online Forum/BBS.  If it was not for Phil and his brilliance his vast computer knowledge, we would have no Forum .

I have my therapy arranged.  I'll be changing the oil in my generator, cleaning the engine compartment, painting the new rear axle, installing an air conditioner, and sealing windows.  That should keep me busy so that the shakes and headaches don't bother me too much. Imagine, actually doing work instead of reading posts on things that have been discussed 19 times before!   ::)

I'm sure you guys think the board needs an overhaul, but from this end of things, it works pretty well. I do think you need to re-title the message though, "The BCM Forum is Shutting Down" title is too scary. A warning of a temporary interruption for maintenance would be more assuring.  ;)

The subject line is alarming but fortunately the reality is more bearable.

Thank you for what you do.

Like JC, I check things out here 3 times a day which still leaves me enough time to get a few things done.  Now I find myself checking about every 15 minutes just to be sure I don't miss the shutdown and as a result  I'm unable to accomplish anything at all!  Thanks a bunch  :D.  Jack

Scary click-bait title!

Thanks for the staff here.  As I mentioned in a prior post, I've got tons of experience with SMF if a hand is ever needed.

May have missed it while working through 1.4k pages of history, but is there a post about the incoming changes to expect?
