We have twin Honda eu3000is gennies. They are quiet as mouses. They are CARB certified. Roadsquad guy drives up to our coach just now in a pickup truck and says we can't run our generators on the property. State law. I said all of the trucks are running their Tripacs. He said they are allowed to. But not me. Please tell me this is bunk?

Scott -

Where are you right now?

Reno?  Sparks?

Was this "roadsquad" guy a uniformed police officer, or just a rent-a-cop?

Sent you a PM

Ok. It was a roadsquad employee on a power trip. Went in to talk to the manager after a phone call to TA yielded nothing (basically it's up to each TA to make their own policies). The manager apologized and said that they have a no RV policy because they've had Rvs with bad drivers hit some semi trucks in their overnight lots. I showed him a photo of our coach (never once referred to it as an rv) and he was like "yeah please stay and have a great night". Brought the 30 weeks preggo wife and 2 year old daughter with me for ammo lol. Had nothing to do with generators. Just don't want hippie rvers in their truck lots is basically what he said. I'm in Reno.

And to top it off I had just bought $300 worth of diesel from them. Arg. Anyway, we are staying the night here. And if roadsquadie wants to come back and retaliate for going above his head and pay grade, I have four night vision surveillance cameras ready for court date.

I was at The TA in LV to fill up propane in a mounted tank and the woman who came out after awhile, said she was uncomfortable filling in an old tank, I told her she should read up on her rules, lvmci...

We like Love's and Marathon stations across the country. Marathon had the best prices as well as propane and full dump stations. The guy came over and picked up our two LP tanks and took it over and filled them and then brought them back and put them in the coach for me while I was dumping the tanks.
We also stayed overnight with no problems in Truck side rest stops and many across the US had food and dump stations also.

I've never seen a marathon truck stop. But flying j and loves are our favorites. Flying j have dumps and water to fill our tank and are always rv friendly. Loves are just nice. Always have great experiences. T/A just lost my business. No more stopping or fueling there anymore.

A friend of mine owned Petrol Truck Stops for years they sure changed when T/A bought him out, truck stops are convenient but I shy away from one, the only truck stop I do now is Quick Trip or F/J on occasions.
Not needing a place to park I do the Kroger or Safeway grocery store card lol I paid $2.02 last night at a Circle K that honors the Frys card

I had to smile, Scott. I am typing this after a "quiet" night at the Flying J in Lodi, California. We like parking out front in the RV spaces with lots of lights and plenty of people coming and going. I am preparing to empty the tanks and hit the road.

Scott we found a lot of the Marathon truck stops in MI Grayling by the big military base up there, IN and Ohio. We had never seen any before either. When we got home we saw an ad on TV for Marathon which we had never seen here either.
