OK, we (I)  should not be making polictical statements here, so I will be brief. A friend of mine is running for president, He would be a great one, odds are 1,000,000,000 to 1 against him, but, if you feel like your not happy with things, check out his web pages. It's OK not to comment any more on this thread, I was just doing him a favor, so thank you for looking at him and no more needs to be said. If you want to spread the word, that would be good too.  I guess they will pull this off the board, but wait..., I own the board... they wouldn't do that would they? I need to tie this into buses, I am donating a nice MCI 8 for him to campaign in. Seats 32, has ice chest, restroom etc. 8V71 with auto. I will post picture later.

Sounds like he is right on.  Unfortunately he doesn't have 26 or more millons of dollars.  But he is right if enough of us nobody's get together we can make a difference.

I also like your spin on things.

The way things are going, $26 million will only cover presidential campaign expenses for 2007, if that.

They are expecting each major party candidate willl spend as much as $500 million on their campaign.  Expenses for each major party candidate in 2004 were well over $300 million each.

I like this guys ideas and wish he had a chance to win.  The $10 for a barrel of oil is a little extreme though.  The Chinese and Indians will pay more than that.

Sounds like a "moderate" democrat to me.

Speaking of committed, some of the candidates should have been years ago!

I think you hit it on the head there.  Problem is, at $300M+ just to have a reasonable chance at winning, they always end up owing somebody big favors (or a lot of people).  :(  I still do my patriotic duty and vote, but sometimes it seems like if I vote for the one I think would be best, it is a wasted vote so I end up voting for the least bad (in my opinion) candidate out of the ones that stand a realistic chance.  :(  :(

Well, I veiw myself as a moderate, independent with a strong libertarian streak.

I can't be bought off because after 12 years of Catholic school, I'd always be too guilty to enjoy the money and besides the nuns would get me.

I will listen to the people and only do what I believe is best for the country and not special interest groups because I am not a politician and have no illusions of any further political career after this run for President regardless of what happens.

I am doing this because I believe that both major political parties are so hopelessly corrupt that they will never do what is right for this country except by accident.

If everyone who feels the same way as I do got together we could easily throw all the politicians out of Washington, DC and start over fresh.

Did you and your wife have sex before you were married?

Oh, excuse me, I thought I was CBS News talking to Mitt Romney there for a second.
