In view of what recently happened with Richard's bus, he's probably not too concerned about this mystery switch any longer.

OTH if he buys it back from the insurance company he can have fun with a chop saw, sawzall,and some wrecking bars and trace it to solve the mystery and take that curiousity out of it so the cat doesn't get killed! ;D
