As a preventative measure empty Metro buses are lined up in the center lanes of Interstate

I wonder when the photo was taken as the buses don't even appear to be wet?  I wonder if they are surviving the massive rains?

The reason the buses are there is because the bus garage is in a low lying area that they were afraid would flood.

And how much weight is that freeway overpass designed to take?   It would be somewhat ironic if the waterlogged ground under it gives way, the whole lot collapses, then Houston has no more buses and a completely blocked freeway to add to its woes.   Also, aren't those buses facing the wrong way?

I doubt the weight will be an issue. Semi trucks are much heavier than those D's.
It does look a bit like a train doesn't it. I'm sure another bus picked up the drivers or else they called UBER.
