Isn't our own Gary Hatt of BCM using something similar?  I've seen something he has for the same and I think it's pretty impressive.  He'd have to give you the details tho'.

Thank you.  Cool links.  If that price is accurate then more than a one year warranty would be nice.

If all this offers is a multi camera system, there are many other ways to do it a lot cheaper. Look at just about any security camera bundle that has multiple cameras. Probably more capable and way cheaper.

it has a video stitcher module. not as cool as fujitsu 3d 360 chip but still creates a 360 environment.

a year ago they were like $5000 for a pro version now in the $1200 range and there are some $500 less capable ones on ebay / amazon

It's all math and metal...

Now I just need a deployable drone to go ahead and search for a camp site.  ;D

I spent $25 on my camera and monitor, $30 on a decent cable (the one supplied was woefully short) and then $10 on a second camera. My mirrors tell me everything I need to know about the sides. My cameras tell me everything I need know when reversing.  Looking out the windshield tells me most everything else though I will change my busboy mirrors for Hawkeye mirrors once I find some with tunnel mounts. That'll tell me about clearance.

The new J4500 buses we have at work have the optional 360 degree camera bird's eye view system. Nice in a way so you can see what's behind you from the driver's seat. But I don't really miss it in other buses without it. You can see out the front through the windshield. You can see the sides just by looking at the mirrors. And occasionally, you have to step out to walk around back to make sure there isn't something to run over. A camera system just adds more unnecessary complexity. Don't move an inch unless you are sure you are not going to hit something. If not sure, step out and walk around to look.

That's why you'd love my 2 camera system. One shows what's behind, horizontally. The other points down to show what I'm about to mow down.

What would be useful is a camera on the left side of the front bumper so you can see what's coming before nosing out too far.
