Does he have a complete truck inside there?   If so, he's got the only bus that will do 70 MPH backwards.

That's what the back-up camera is for,  ;)

Yes Iceni.  From what I understand he backs his tractor trailer into his MCI bus and takes it with him to use as a Toad.  ;D What is interesting is that he can drive it from either end.  :D

Seriously though (?), does a rear-mounted radiator like in that picture (and like most pusher RVs have these days) suck in air from the outside, or blow air out from the engine compartment?   I can see pros and cons for both ways.   It could be easier for me to mount a second radiator at the back instead of on the right side.   (OK, by easier I mean very slightly less difficult.)

Sorry for the thread drift here, but it's all part of our Sisyphean task to keep our engines cool by fair means or foul.

Thanks, John

It looks as he is blowing air from inside out,, as you can see from the side scoops.>>>Dan (either way its a bitch to keep a rear rad clean)

IIRC there are 4 electric fans in there and they blow out through the radiator as Ed Was telling me. Ed said the scoops were on there when he got the bus but they weren't doing much for that 8V-92 in there.

This is just a post to let all know how this radiator project turned out.  It turns out the Complete Coach Works worked very well with the Taylor Coach  mechanics who had our bus in their shop.  I worked directly w/ Mando Aguirre (maguirre@completecoach.com).  Mando has a great deal of experience in working w/ radiators.  CCW located used MC9 radiators in their inventory and also did the recores.  According to Taylor Coach, CCW quickly delivered used / recored radiators that were in very good condition and an exact fit.  The two new / rebuilt radiators were installed and the seals replaced.  And now our MC9 runs much cooler than it used to.     ;D

Kudos to Taylor Coach in Phoenix and Complete Coach Works (1.800.bus.sale).  CCW is a BCM advertiser.

I received no special discounts for this post - just wanted to share a good experience

Do you have an intercooler? It could be your intercooler radiator needs attention.
