Here is one company:

I bought my genes from them, and they may have a dealer close to you?

Powertech (I have an open 10kw) makes a neet 8kw with built in reverse flow radiator. Compact, 3 cylinder Kubota, brushless alternator, 1800rpm. Good Luck, TomC

i know im late, but recent experience; go with kubota/cummins as their parts flow with cummings generator family. When crap fails you have a huge service network that can get you parts next to nothing next day.

Problem with Cummins Onan is that they are crap, and crap fails often on them. I have a Powertech 10kw with 4 cylinder Kubota that has about 1500hrs on it. Other than changing oil and coolant, no other maintenance-just happily runs. Good Luck, TomC

if it has a green plastic printed circuit board or an ECM or a resin filled gizmo, i don't want one :)

not that i don't have one, i do. a postage stamp sized delay on my transfer switch, still one to many.  ;D

Excuse my ignorance, but curious minds have to know, what's the reverse flow radiator?

Normally the hot water leaves the engine and enters the top of the radiator.  As it flows down through the radiator it cools, until it leaves the bottom and returns to the engine via the water pump.  I would expect a reverse flow to have the opposite flow path.

Supposedly, it helps minimize air pockets and allows the radiator to be more efficient.  In short, it should allow for a more compact radiator than a normal flow system.

Onan is a good generator they had problems back in the late 90's but resolved it fast, they are the best rated generator on the market up to 12,000 kw since the 12k is as large as Onan sells for RV use no one has better parts and service IMO.I own a 20kw EPS they advertise here on the board  it is a fantastic generator

I like the newer 3 cylinders especially for the space savings. And if one wants an even bigger kw nowadays the 3 cyl is available with the turbo, commonly. I have an older 4 cyl kubota 20k and its a Big dog has its own porch bay no sharing.
As JE mentioned the reverse flow is like was described. A couple bits to know are they mostly need more pump to flow this designed path. And funny its been a coolant fill method in diesel engines for a more than a few years. A real key i seen interesting is its use to move or push fluid when it is pushing steam past very tough spots. These particular hot spot situations from say in heads close to very hot valve seats or spark plugs and other examples in combustion areas that can have tough places for fluid and so lag and possibly form steam that needs moved better. There are some real designs by manufactures trying to address this so this here is just a tip.
Have a good day everyone

My ESP 20k is not that big it is only 46 inches long in the housing it uses about a 1/3 of the bay in the DL,very easy to service just remove the door and it's all there

Thats great information to have, appreciate it. Iknow you've had several but im guessing on this one its running radiator in the enclosure. There is sure something about newer design  an the excelant ability to get the output in a smaller package. Just for some 9's like mine out there i have about 48" between the bars on the bay door. And my radiator has to be in another bay space.
I was runnin over my earlier post and thought i should put this up there as im really not sure what the specfic " reverse flow the generator company is talking about" but being early and i may have considered ( like enough construction eqp. I work on ) reverse flow just in the Fan. If this the case sorry
Anyhow thanks
