Anyone have a list of acceptable levels for oil analysis results on a B500? The service manual I have does not provide that information as it states "with so many different models and applications available consult your allison dealer" bla bla bla

The result I got from the lab doesn't give me any specifics, just that it was ok.

Blackstone?  You can call them and he'll talk to you about it.  Thats probably the best you'll get.  Either its good or its bad or its gonna grenade itself in the near future.

Your lab should have provided you with a computerized print out of all the necessary results.  If they told you verbally "it was OK" is it possible the test was properly conducted? Or conducted at all?

Consider the print out with established normal values and the resulting values the same as a blood draw work up sheet.  Or a 120 point expensive well water testing lab print out.  You need to know specifics.

Derrick, all they check for
Viscosity  +or - 25% from new fluids
Water   0.2% max
Glyco    no trace
Alien  fluids
Acid + 3.0 change from new fluids
Metal of course they don't have a wear limit if metal is shown out the transmission comes
not much of sample test for the Allison B500 if you are looking for warning limits, this is all it says in my B500, B400,B300,4000, and 3000 manuals

They might also check for particulate matter in the tranny oil.  Also water.  Also pH.  Also non good oil contents like aluminum, iron, chrome, steel, bronze, brass, any organic material like from clutch plates.  Also gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, anti freeze, etc..

They should also provide a norms value, be what it may or may not be.  Consider a good oil analysis to be an excellent indicator of transmission performance and future life expectancy.  Usually one receives what one pays for, but not always.  Reputation.

No dog.  Respectfully.

Here's what they gave me. Result says "normal" but i was hoping to find out a little more info based on the levels.
