Interesting. Long way from Lexington sc though :) I'll have to see about getting my bus retitled as a motorhome first. That might take a while.

Lol. 50A. My bus is wired for 30A and I'm set up for 100% independence. Onboard water, hardly any power usage, gas cooking. Cooler powered by ice :)

I heard tales of people having portable generators stolen, plugin cables stolen etc and went as independent as possible.

Kyle   Do we have many logging in.  If Huggy will start one more time I hope to be there.

Guess it is to early for mosquitoes so I will not have to make several rounds to kill them.

Probably will not get a discount for killing them either.

will save your parking place if that Newell and stand being parked to a real bus.  LOL

We are expecting 15 units.

I've been plodding along with some changes on The Newel -
I relocated the batteries,
made battery boxes,
made new battery cables,
replaced/relocated the throttle actuator at the engine,
cleaning up some poor wiring done by camping world,
replaced the starter (I hope it works !),
The Bendix cruise control was acting up, so I'm installing a King Cruise Control.

I hope to have it put back together by then . . . . .

You still had the old air operated Bendix cruise control! Not often seen anymore. I still run one on my 5C. It works well, so far...

I hope yours continues to work  :)

Mine worked flawlessly until it decided to act very erratically - either a bad potentiometer or bad control module.
Then, when you consider they aren't being made anymore - made the most sense to replace.
Fortunately, my coach had the original bendix manual, so I know what wires go where as far as the bendix cruise control anyways . . . .

Kyle  if you need any King control parts.

Huggy has some. I never use it.

Without the cruise control, my speed creeps up until I'm against the governor. . . .

My bus is governed to 55 on the flat. Uphill, it's less, downhill it can reach 75. I'm happy though... the tires are rated to 65.

The new starter works very well. with the batteries closer to the starter & 4/0 marine battery cable - you don't hear the starter.  8)
New throttle control works perfectly.  ;D
New oil pressure sending unit seems to working.

All that the cruise needs is the speed sensor installed & a road trip to calibrate . . . .

So happy the worst of this project is over - now to clean it up for the rally.

uncle ned      Ned ,I don't think I will try to bring the Prevost to the Cove this time .as I have done a bunch of untested work on the fresh water system.I don't want to get water in that thing until I can be sure all chances of a freeze are past .I may try to drive down there on Saturday in the car .If you see a Black Suzuki GV hanging around, that will be me ! Lord willing ,I will be able to bring the old girl to the next one they have down there!!!
