It's a cute little bus but without the title it's not worth one cent.

Actually, no title is not that big of a deal.  Just call the local PD to make sure it's not stolen.  Otherwise the Dept of MV will accept a bill of sale.

I would think pretty rare being on a Studebaker chassis. Somebody will buy it and hot rod it. Probably why the high asking price.

Must have been for a very very small school. I think STUDEBAKER offered school bus chassis up until the early 1960's but like most old skoolies, most have been converted to coffee cans and paper clips. Indeed, it is something to find now.

Anybody have an idea why a "Montvale" photo is shown on "Charlotte Craigs List"?  The terrain in the background sure doesn't look like Charlotte; I don't have a lot of experience with Montvale NJ but the hills look more like Port Jervis than the NJ coast.  Just doesn't look right to me ...

Well, if it's New Jersey, it might be a landfill in the background.  ;D

Jack, if you can restore a 1935 skoolie this will be a piece of cake for you. What do you figure, a two week project to bring it back to life?  :D

I've never bought anything off CL, but 200 miles away seems a little odd.

I bought my bus via craigslist. All legit though. Paid with a bankers check - as good as cash but leaves an audit trail and had a PM9 in my pocket, just in case :)
