How big of a job is it to replace the bronze bushing in the rear tag axle on 102a3. We found a fair amount of play in them during my Pre trip inspection. It looks like you just have to disconnect the air bag, suspension connections, remove the collar, and slide out the swing axle from the tube. It then looks like you can pull the bushing with a slide hammer. Is there anything else I'm missing.

Thanks,
Jason

Typically, sawed length wise, inside the tube, carefully, to split and pull out.

The new one goes in the freezer, the tube is RELIGIOUSLY cleaned and de-burred,

And then you whack it in there and pray you get it seated before it warms up...

Or something like that?

Jack Conrad did a nice write up long ago and far away when he did his MC8?

Tag axle bushings are notorious for the last commercial operator, and quite a few busnuts, never greasing it properly.

happy coaching!
