Hi Bernie,

Is it the Guardian or the Generac?  or maybe they are the same..

Highly recommend you go with either a Wrico in Eugene, Or or a Powertech out of Leesburg, Fla.  Stay far away from the Generac.  Kohler and Onan make good units-just are pricey to buy and repair.  Good Luck, TomC

Bernie: I have an Onan 10kw diesel with about 500 hrs. and I wish I could afford to replace it with something else.If the problems persist I might be forced into replacing it.

I just finished installing a Honda EV6010 in my 4104, these things are great.

I'll second Gus on this one. I'd much rather have a Honda EV unit than a cheap diesel! However I use the genset very little.

jjr,

I don't use mine a lot either, that's what makes it so nice, half the price of a diesel and very quiet.

We use it mostly to run the AC underway and can use it in WM parking lots without bothering anyone. I sometimes park near a semi withrunning refrig unit because his makes a lot more noise than mine.
