ROHM delays bus project!

Oh no!  ROHM hit us yesterday (Remnants of Hurricane Matthew) causing high winds gusting around 60 mph, 2 - 3 inches of rain, widespread power outages and flooding, road washouts, etc.  We came through fine with the exception of our power going out 12 hours ago, and not scheduled to be restored all day.  So I can't pull the engine out like I was all set to do today...  Oh No!

It's kinda funny. Where I live 2-3 inches of rain is an afternoon storm. Of course, 60mph is significant. Stay safe. And sorry about the project being delayed.

       Wasn't remnants when it hit us.  My neighbor next door was widowed about a year ago - she lost most of her roof; two big pine trees crashed through it taking out trusses, plywood sheathing panels, shingles, etc.  But she's alive ... no so about a dozen other people in NC.

I'm in VA. We were fine until the following day. Sunny, cool, perfect bus work weather. Then...the power went out! Mad does not describe my feeling.

     I'm near the coast of NC.  I saw my first hurricane in 1954, Hurricane Hazel, Cat. 4, came straight in off the coast; on man killed in a collapsed warehouse not three blocks from my family's house.  In the over 60 years since, 11 hurricane eyes have passed over my home town.  Having said that, I've never seen one like this -- as it passed Charleston, it fell apart and the low-pressure -- the hallmark of a tropical cyclone -- bent off to the northeast and moved 100 miles from the rain and wind areas, which spread to the north and west across upper South Carolina, eastern North Carolina, and parts of Virginia.  Besides the unusual areas of damaging wind and rain, those areas hung on for a much longer time than any hurricane or tropical storm   The effects have been terribly damaging for many individuals and businesses.

I am so envious of you being able to pull your engine out. Man, what I could accomplish. Have fun and be safe! 

     I don't know if you've been following Brian's posts.  He needed a newer, updated engine so he bought one from Canadian Army self-propelled howitzer (sort of like a tank with a huge gun on it), re-configured it to match his bus, and put in all the mods (radiator, electrical changes, etc.) needed. He's got good knowledge, skills, background, good tools and workshop equipment, and a fine workshop/garage.  I'm envious, too.
