Because of our new house with it's septic tank in the back yard, I bought a Sani-Con Buddy by Thetford macerator pump through Camping World ($300). Comes with a nice storage box. Since my battery box is right next to my dump outlet, not a problem for power. I had to buy a 5ft sewer extension hose since there wasn't room to directly hook up the pump to the sewer outlet. Also bought 2-75ft hoses. My driveway is about 6ft higher than the house which is perfect for draining. We tried it yesterday, and the pump worked perfectly. Took about 10 minutes to dump my 45 gal black and about half full 85 gal gray. Very pleased with the performance. Able to easily store it under neath with 5 ft extension hose. Good Luck, TomC

Those are neat looking I bought on because I have 2 Flow Jets the plastic brush holders melted and FlowJet will not sell the holders just the motor only, lol you need to check Amazon TomC they are cheaper there by 50 bucks

We still have the Badger SS Masadisposarater 1/2HP with a 10 foot to a 140 foot 5/8 garden hose less than 100.00 and a garden hose. ;D

Was this the one you got?

I always thought I might get one for my (eventual) bus.  I liked the Idea of being able to pump it uphill if necessary.

Yes that's the one I bought. Yes I paid more at Camping World, but try to have Amazon repair it if something goes wrong.

Camping world is the same way they dumped me on FlowJet for the repairs and FlowJet did replace the pump then in a year the replacement failed out of warranty of course

Guy's :I have the Valterra water powered maceration hose ,and this thing really does do a good job if you have decent water pressure. They say that you only need to know three things to be a plumber IE crap won't run up hill, payday is on Friday and the boss is an SOB.It is amazing how often the first rule get's ignored.I have a Prevost and an American Dream. Both these have very low drain points and many of the camp grounds that I go to actually have the campground sewer higher than the outlet on my motor home and this little Valterra has saved my but many times and for less  than a hundred dollars ,you can't beat it !!!

A while back some were using a garbage disposer hooked up to do the job for 1/2 that price. It appears that the dump hose diameter is same as disposal and can be easily adapted.

Chessie Thats what I said above!. Been using mine for 6 years and just any garden hose works.  And Actually the whole thing was free leftover new disposal from one of my kitchen remodel jobs, In the picture the hose is not hooked up but it just screws onto a hose outlet that you solder to a plate that screws to the disposals outlet drain. LOL
Got the idea from "Steampunk"

Thanks for bringing that up, Dave.  Got kind of a sideways question for you, though.  I have an Atlantis mascerator toilet that I'll be installing in my bus.  Since the "input" to the tank will be mascerated, will I need the disposal at the outlet.  I can see that the disposal pumping action would be very useful but it also seems kinda overkill.

Interesting Bruce. It would depend on if you use the big 3 inch hose like most do. If so I would use it on if only for the fact that you can use a short 10 foot garden hose or up to a 150 foot of 5/8 hose instead. A lot easier to clean and store. I drain the tanks first black and then the grey through the black and out through the shared 3"exit pipe right into the disposal. I have a top 3 inch fitting I remove and spray out the tank through it with anti-siphon coupling as well as straight down the disposal after done and the hose that I drained through. Roll up and drain then connect the ends together and put it away. Simply and no ripples in the hose to collect any stuff you don't want in your bays. HTH

Sorry, didn't recognize the name of your disposal. Yours was the thread I recalled.
