Scott   If you do not get it straighten out David will be great.  While there you can check on HUGGY for me.
Also check on several newer 45 ft, "PREVOS" that he is servicing also.

if you are coming from Ashville way Gene Russells might be closer.
And he is something, just ask Boomer.

Don't fill it more than 1/2 way up the glass. It will expand as it warms up and there's not much room for expansion. Sounds like it just expanded and pushed the excess out the top because it was over filled.

Ok thank you so much. I'm going to try to get it at the right level tomorrow and see how it does. It didn't leak a drop until this past week after I topped it off.  Now it empties itself. I still don't see a vent. Will take pics

You guys rock. Those two photos were exactly what I needed. You beat me to it. I found mine and sure enough that's where all the oil is spraying out in a nice fine mist. It's literally coated everything in my engine bay with nice clean brand new 40wt. I just simple greened it a month ago too. Oh well. So my problem is solved: this morning my sightglass was empty. I attempted to add more oil, and that oil came out the top of the fill tube. So evidently it was completely full still. I wiggled the hose going to the sight glass, and immediately the sight glass filled completely to the top. So apparently I have a kink in my sight glass tube somewhere and it is not always registering when the box is full. In other words I have not leaked a drop of oil out of any of the seals, I have only been spraying out of the vent because I have overfilled it because the sight glass was not registering. Note to self wiggle sight glass hoses before filling your box. thank you so much for your help guys this was an easy issue.

Glad it was solved.  I wish that all of the problems were so easy and so cheap.
