Hey Folks:  Hope it will be alright if I run this past y'all again. Most of you remember my ordeal with the HT755CR on my bus not going in gear and the ordeal with having to have it towed twice then after having it towed in they never found a thing  wrong. Well it is still doing the same thing .I have learned to cope with it but the pucker factor goes to a 10 every time I am a long way from home and I put this thing in gear wondering if this will be the time I am not going to get her to go in gear. This problem seems to be more predominant in cold weather or after sitting for some time altho it has happened after being parked over night during warm weather .When it does this,I will let it run for a while then turn the ignition switch off and back on and it resets and goes in gear as it should  except for the time I had it towed .Nothing would reset it that time. After it goes in gear ,the tranny seems to shift as it should and it stores no codes .The shift pad seems to do as it should .Select the gear ,the light comes on for that gear and I get a beep ,but it is as if it is in neutral .If the tranny gets warmed up to operating temperature  there is no problem at all with it going in gear

That is a 1st generation ATEC they can be a big PITA,I personally think you have a interface problem between the engine and the transmission is the engine a mechanical 8v92 with the stand alone 755 ?.The way you describe it sounds like it goes into the limp mode.Make sure no one has spliced wire 201 it has to be close to the ECU and grounded to the frame lol that wire cost me 2 days when the owner decided he wanted all the wires grounded through a buse bar to be neat he added about 3 ft

Raby, another thing to check with the bus in neutral check to be sure solenoids A and F are energized.

I am the farthermost thing from a transmission man that you will ever find, but does the pan have to be pulled to check these solenoids? Also ,what is the prognosis if they are energized or not energized??

You can check the solenoids at the connector they read 9-20 OHMS ( de-engerized ) above that you have a bad circuit, broken wire or solenoid
