Been crazy. Ordered tank fittings on Amazon. They arrive within days. My dad cut the tile that has the drain. My friend and I installed all the wall tiles tonight. Just got done. Was a chore. Also installed a weather proof plug outlet in the fuel side panel. It's arc arrested...don't worry.

"It is arc arrested". An electrician was telling me that the Canadian building code requires every circuit in a new house to have arc fault interrupters since January 2016. He says it is a nightmare. Lots of service calls resetting breakers. You look at them sideways and they trip. Home owners remove them after the inspection... Will be interesting how you like yours...

You are under the gun to get this bus ready, and you have worked hard and long, but there is still something that quite possibly needs attention at some point - your emergency escape exits! It looks like there are only two windows in the entire bus, which may open or not, and maybe a roof exit or two. It really seems to me that you need more in the way of exits on both sides of the bus and on the roof. With all of that softwood inside you have a lot of fuel for a fire, and accidents do occur while on the road that have resulted with coaches laying on their side. Please consider every type of disaster that can happen and what you and your family would do to get out. The people in the back should be able to get out as well the ones in the front, and don't shoot the messenger, he wishes you well.

Lol. The arc arrestor might hate me but being that plug is so close to the diesel fill, I felt it necessary. Walter coach does have roof exit in rear and two emergency windows in front. Two windows going in the rear as soon as we can. Thanks bob. We loved the old barnwood tile so in it went.

Scott - looking great! Just wondering about the shower wall, is that thin set you are using? If so do you think it is flexible enough? I am thinking of tiling as well but probably going to use SilkaFlex to mount the tile.

I'm using flexbond thinset Bjorn. Have no idea how it will hold up. Crossing fingers and yet expecting the wlrst

We have luggage bay lights! Commercial grade long led rods. Came out of Kroger coolers. Run on 24 volt but we have them wired with drivers to 120.

Scott tile coming out nice. I have laid a bunch of that same tile on walls , floors etc. You look to be using a 3/8 groove trowel the only difference would be to use a 1/2" groove on that large of tile because of the weight. It will be fine with the Flexbond and looks like you are getting good coverage. Love the look and that is really easy to keep clean too.

PS Bjorn you could use Flexbond or Versabond from HD or Lowes equivalent. It has lots of Latex flex in it for contraction and expansion. You can even add latex additive to the regular cheap thinset and it will work. HTH

Bus project on hold for a week while my wife and I and our baby girl attend an important family wedding in Curaçao. I know I know...sounds like a vacation but really this is an important family function in my Indian family.
