You could pick up a restriction gauge from a truck wrecking yard and actually SEE what you intake system is doing. Baldwin # AFG38D or if you don't have a threaded port just drill a hole and use a K&N (or equivalent) http://www.knfilters.com/filterminder.htm

My GMC has one...appears to be military surplus.Previous owner was in a group of WWII flyers of B25's or one of the B's....My Garmin GPS has the option of changing one of the left corner info's to altitude. Nice to watch it change, esp on those grades that don't appear to be one.

This is why I like my truck so much-it already has just about every gauge you need. Speedo, tach, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, amps, volts, fuel pressure, fuel filter restriction, air filter restriction, trans temp, forward drive axle temp, rear drive axle temp, pyrometer (exhaust temp). It has one extra gauge hole and I want to put in an altimeter. Just to give you an idea on gauges. Good Luck, TomC
