Just got back from a 17 day Panama Canal cruise on the Pacific Princess, (Love Boat) and in Nicaragua did a shore excursion and rode in the bus (pictured attached).  It was a really nice ride and super clean and comfortable.  I could not tell what brand it was.  Anyone know? Is it a Mercedes? It had 13000 km on it. Wow! brand new.  Also, it was a standard shift :o

I could be wrong but I think that's a DINA. Perhaps built on an MERCEDES BENZ chassis. Stick shift huh?
Pretty bus though.

What felt like a manual shift, is actually Mercedes-Benz 12spd automated transmission (by the "N" readout on the dashboard) Evendently Dina and Mercedes are in partners. If this bus has a DD13 and 12spd automated, would make a very fuel efficient setup.
Freightliner trucks with this same setup are getting over 8mpg with 80,000lb trucks! Good Luck, TomC

And here I was hoping you would say that bus had the cool and still doable MANUAL Fuller 10 Speed Road Ranger like my old Crown Supercoach.  With a clutch pedal.  Oh well.  :)

Per the rear view, it's a Marcopolo body on a Mercedes chassis with a Voith automatic.

I'm surprised it has opening windows instead of the usual flush-fitting sealed windows that Marcopolo, Irizar and others use on their newer bodies.   Did it have A/C?   How was the interior set up?   (2 & 2 seating or 2 & 1?   Any bathroom(s) and galley in the back?)   It certainly looks good.

2x2 seating, bathroom in the back, no galley.  AC on roof, noisy but ice cold in the coach.  Each seat had its own air flow control like a jet.

And their main bus website shows a photo of a four-axle bus with their Paradiso body.   Don't the Peruvians use them?   I wonder what chassis / running gear it has?   Would they ride better on rough roads, or handle better, or what?

Marcopolo has been building bus bodies for years but to my understanding they only build the body and supply it to the "BUS" builder who mates it to their chassis or the chassis of their choice and finishes the final touches before selling to the end user!

Dina's had the Marcopolo bodies as well!
