Holy smokes that is one beautiful fishbowl.  I can't afford that but is the tranny a V730 or the old 2 speed?

DoubleEagle

The right bus for a retired transit driver with fond memories. Looks very clean.

6V-71 and VS-2 (relatively easy to replace with a 6V-92TA and V730). Would be good for those in the plains states and not in any kind of hurry. Didn't see a generator listed, and from experience is the hardest thing to install. Maybe where the front steps used to be. But looks good! Good Luck, TomC

Thanks Tom. Would a V730 improve performance on a 6V-71? Here in Milwaukee we had almost 500 GM (new looks) with the 6V-71 and the VS-2. While that power train was about as tough as can be, those old 6V-71's with only 170 HP really created some uncertain moments on climbing a big hill riding home from high school but always made it. :)
I always wondered if they had swapped the V730 into some of those buses, would have made a difference?
