I want American made tires lol do we still make tires in America I am not taking these tires they were $$$ and I am not going to accept the tires made in Spain

According to an article I just read, only Goodyear and Cooper brands are American made.  It was a short but interesting article at http://www.moderntiredealer.com/article/312335/made-in-america

Does Michelin make that tire in the US. I'll bet you bought the ones with the lavender scented rubber..http://www.nydailynews.com/autos/tree-tire-article-1.272392

I would prefer tires made in US, but that wouldn't stop me from buying Michelin's. They are the only brand I buy in tires for my vehicles. My wheelbarrow, not so much.....uh-oh...here come the haters....

I don't know John but I paid for American made tires and I want American made tires not like I am buying Michelin tires for my wife's bike which by the way seem to hold up on her bike.
I have 9 inch wide wheels and a trucker friend says the XZA are good tires when the side walls are more vertical on a 9 inch wide wheel and not so good on a 8-1/4 in wide wheel who knows for sure.
I am just pissed about being lied too for someone to make a sell lol American Express can deal with it they are like pit bull dog when they get involved  ;D

Now Clifford you won't buy a tire made in Spain but you will use a credit card owned or being bought by a Canadian company, LOL ;D

Michelin is a French company that makes tires all over the world to their standards. They might only make certain models of tires in the US, and that is always subject to change. It's getting to be that we have to rely on the quality of the brand rather than the country of origin.

That is funny Dave but like Costco I getting ready to part company with American Express too, the truth is they will battle for you on a bad deal but I don't like the annual fee I figured it up paying the fees since 1972 not smart on my part just for a credit card

The fact that Michelin is the fore runner of just about all technology when it comes to tires, I wouldn't care where the tires are made. Not like the "me too" tires from a no name brand from China. Look good-who knows how they're built or the rubber compound.
Do you not buy a Detroit Diesel (DD13, DD15, DD16) because the engine blocks are made in South Africa? Or the turbos are either Cummins or Mercedes-Benz? We live in a world economy that American made items are getting scarce. US makes the raw material, we import the finished product-way of the world now. Good Luck, TomC

I order tires and even when I get the same tire in different sizes, they are made everywhere. Koreans have the best toxic fomulas because they don't have the rules most other countries have. Even coopers are made all over. I believe Michelin was a German company.

Continental=German. Michelin=French.

Even so, I don't blame him for being pissed if the dealer assure him they were produced in USA and then they show up made in bum chuk Egypt. I wonder if they currently make any of  that size in USA.

It wasn't the dealer it was Michelin they now have offered me a set of Goodrich for the same money that is not happening,so I don't think they make the tire in the US any longer.I am leaning towards Toyo or Bridgestone and forget about Michelin's
