any one taken US-395 N. from CA-58 by Bakersfield? advice.

Hi guys      not sure if this link will show up.....has any one driven from lake havasu, az to olancha, ca?  i have a friend i want to go stay with for a few weeks, in Olancha, Ca....want to know if the route is "bus worthy"  to get there....


Turn RIGHT onto AZ-95. 18.7 miles Map

6: Merge onto I-40 W via the ramp on the LEFT (Crossing into CALIFORNIA). 164.6 miles Map

7: I-40 W becomes I-15 S. 3.4 miles Map

8: Merge onto CA-58 W toward BAKERSFIELD. 30.0 miles Map

9: Turn RIGHT onto  97.7 miles Map

10: End at Olancha, CA US

anyone taken this?  advice?  oh..im leaving Havasu in less than 2 weeks........got tow bar brackets installed on car and wiring done as well.  fyi

We drove 395 from Death Valley to Reno.  It's all good road, lots of rest stops and really pretty the northern half.  Can be windy in the southern half.  Cary

you may get lucky...if Death Valley gets a little rainshower, heaven on earth!

   Hi;
   Hwy 395 is no problem.  I travel up and down that hwy several times a
   year.  Only thing to keep an eye on is the winds. They can be pretty
   nasty.  I live near Mojave,  so the area is what might be called "local".
