I am looking for a good windshield wiper air motor that fits a GM 4106.

Everyone says easy ... and then the threads start...they are only easy if you've done a half dozen or 2 ....
pay very close attention..take pictures and know where off is...or was when it was working...

Just switch to electric. I have a two motor system with a single switch controller that keeps the two windshield wipers in synch. Then with adjustable delay, low and high speed with windshield washer switch, it was one of the best conversion I've done. Good Luck, TomC

You should obtain a shop manual before starting and follow the instructions, especially on the indexing of the rack and pinion and mark layout of parts. If you pay attentions to the instructions, they are easy to rebuild. They are easily rebuildable because parts are readily available and they don't need discarded. Also a used replacement probably wonk wort any better, unless seller tested used unit. There is a nylon component,which I can't remember which item it is, but it seems to always be cracked and leaks air. I found this on three that I was going to rob for parts. The rest of the motor appears pretty durable and should only need seals and thoroughly cleaned and properly relubed upon assembly. Btw, test unit before installation. There are some small, but significant differences between the left and right units in the way air flow is routed through those air port offices.

They really aren't that hard to rebuild IMO and air wipers work good with a little maintenance, over the years people are going to electric because air wiper motors are out of sight now in price gone are the days when one cost 50 bucks.I buy everything I need for one  from www.rometruckparts.com

I rebuilt the motor and it starts to go but doesn't.   If I rotate it to the opposite side it will start to go back but stops.   When installing the kit the barrels appeared tapered and I think the air escapes around the pistons.   After increasing the knob all the way and moving the wiper arm it began to run at high speed but when I tried to slow it down a little it stopped.   I replaced the control valve also.

Did you lubricate the main piston seals with non hardening grease?

Yes it was supplied with the kit.   Motor has not worked right since I purchased the bus 13 years ago.   When it finally would start, it ran at high speed only.
