Well, got all the air leaks fixed, and brakes unfrozen. My next issue looking a little uglier. No Gen light came on at the ebd of last season. At first look, i thought the belts were just loose.
After closer examanation, it appears the pulley on the engine lost it's bearings. My big question is, what is this pulley connected too, and, how big a repair am i looking at

Where does the drive for the pulley come off from-front or back of engine, which position.

You can buy the pulley rebuilt from PC Industries ,I have plenty of the blower accessories drives 2V groves but I don't have the lower drive for a MCI.They are easy to change 6 bolts but you are probably going to need the fiber between the drive and pulley Ed at Jefferson is a good outlet for that he knows what you are asking for DD is a waste of time

It is a 4 belt pulley off of front of engine(toward the front of bus). What type of gear setup can I expect to find?

The pulley drive has straight drive with the coupling between the straight drive off the accessory drive but you are looking at the rear of the engine some of those are gear driven fwiw it is easy to remove nothing is there going to bite you

There is oil leaking, so i assume there is a gasket set also.

Also, is going to be a one piece replacement, or am i looking to rebuild the pulley assemblely?
Lots of question, just looking to each my fears😀

If the bearing is wasted then so is the seal. Yes there is a gasket behind the flange. Cliff I assume the rebuilt pully is the entire assembly including bearing, seal, and flange? So all he would need is a new coupler and a gasket?

Most of the time when the bearings go so does the shaft ,lol you need to remember to install the long bolts before you install the pulley  ??? BTDT

well, got the pulley and gear cover off. Going to def be easier going back on,without pulley in my way. Bearings and seals were basically nonexistent at this point. The shaft itself looks to be in good shape after I pressed the old race off. My biggest concern now is,where did old the old bearings go? I found some on the engine laying around,but there are def some unaccounted for.t ? he gen actually failed last year and I ended up driving it about 50 miles with no noticeable issues,but I am still concerned the could have fallen into the internals.any ideas as the the odds of this happening,and bus still running flawlessly? Also.where can I order the rebuild parts,or the complete shaft -cover assembly?  thanks again
