Bestplace to buy jugs?

I have a freind with a GMC he put an auto on it and now has ruined his 8v71. We are thinking he had air in the system when he connected his cooler to the rear head. Overheated it, he plans to presure check the heads and block. It took a piece from one piston and ruined the sleeves on a couple. Detroit is telling him 250.00 each. Anyone have a good souce for these?  Thanks Tom

Ok, Do I need to start a new post? The one sleeve closed up on it self. Like you cut it at the ports and pushed it together.  Tom Y

tom,if he lives close to a Napa Auto they can order the liners and gaskets for him he just needs to know the port size and the bore size std or oversize ,but the price he got is not that bad from a DD dealer.the eplace had some for 29.00 last week
