Can anyone recommend a place that I can purchase an MCI nine windshield somewhere near Palestine Texas? I'll drive a few hours if I have to. The windshield is cracked beyond repair and the glass is starting to separate from the plastic it's become downright dangerous.

Scott, Darby Diesel in Hutchins (I-45 & I 20 just south of Dallas) is scrapping some MCI's.  I drove by there last week -- on the interstate so I only caught a glance.  I don't know if he'll have anything that fits.  If he's still in business, his number is/was 972-225-5200.  I'm not sure they're still in business, as I had trouble finding a good online reference when I was searching on someone else's behalf.  If it's not Darby, it's whoever is on that same property.

From Palestine, I-45 north to Dowdy Ferry Road, just south of I-20.  Make U-turn under the freeway, they're on the southbound access road.  Drive slowly, because the entry (first/only gate) comes up on you fast.

Your other option may be the MCI repair depot in Dallas -- one of their regional service centers.  Not far from Love Field.

You just like it cause they live on your name. :) I'm concerned the windshield will implode on my face. Is that even possible?

The windshield not going to implode on you Scott, the ADS gave me a repair ticket on my pickup she said the reason was because the crack was not in my viewing area but if I was in a wreck the cab would crush me because the windshield would collapse.I shook my head and told her give me my ticket

I would think any larger glass company could get one. But maybe not at the price you are looking for.

I talked with Progressive about Eagle windshields ( I had them send Safelite to fix rock chips, because it was free...no deductible) and she told me that they could source windshields. I had told her that I would do the chip repairs because the glass was hard to source... she said that was not true, that they had access to a vendor that did this type glass nationwide...
Have you queried your carrier ?

Only $130? Oh. In that case I'll buy one this week. Do they sell the gasket too?

I have some bigger issues I'll be contacting the insurance company about. My toad let loose last night and rear ended my coach. Been a fun week.

the windows are $130 a piece i'm not sure on shipping. I picked mine up in Louisville when we bought our bus. I priced all the glass all the way around. that driver side window and door window are over $500. each. as for gaskets MCI does not carry them any more. there is a guy on ebay selling some though. Also anyone can put those dang things in. all you need is suction cups a flat tip screwdriver and a ladder.

hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. Ill be headed to Dallas in a couple weeks to pick up new glass. Carney, can you elaborate on the install? Pull the inner and outer gaskets out? Then install new interior gasket then lay a bead of windshield urethane and then lay the glass in then another layer of urethane and press the exterior gasket in??? Do I have it right?
