My 6v92 manual states that there is a fuel filter screen in the mounting housing. Is this true? How can I clean it?

Isn't the primary filter often referred to as a "screen"? Meaning that there is no additional screen, other than the spin on filter itself. My 6V92 is this way.

Ok that's what I was thinking too. They refer to it as a screen. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't an actual screen there somewhere I needed to clean

Way back when, the primary filter was a fine screen that was cleanable. The secondary was a threaded "sock". So many still say to clean the screen, and change the sock. Good Luck, TomC
