Hi Everyone,
My friend Dreamweaver is on his way back from Arizona and his transmission has given up the ghost on the side of the highway.
1970 MC7 with 4 speed Spicer.
Is there anyone near him that can help?
He is in Biggs Oregon Just East of Hood River and The Dalles
If there is anyone with a used 4 speed anywhere near him please let me know asap.
He would like to buy a replacement in decent condition
He is looking for a place close by where he can switch out transmissions nearby.
Please let me know so I can relay to Dave.
Any help would be appreciated
thanks in advance

You may have him contact Ted at Bus Maintenance in Williams, CA. He might have an extra laying around. Southern Oregon Diesel also has a good reputation. Sorry, I do not have either number off hand.

Good luck!

How do you break a manual tranny.....or is it they wore the clutch out?

NJT 5573

I don't know,  Harry said it was burned up. Sure could be a clutch if he just pulled Cow Canyon and Goldendale. It would have to be out of oil to have burned up. I can go help Fri nite, I"m 5 hours out but I have a tranny jack.

Dave had to replace his clutch in Yuma a month or so ago.
Now transmission trouble
not a good relaxing winter for him
He bought some clutch parts from DuaneMC7 and he is going to contact him to see if he still has a trans available.

I am within about 80 miles of Biggs and don't know what he needs. There is a large truck repair place close to here (Woodpecker Truck)  I could give my phone number if I can help. Jerry

How do you break a manual tranny?

I BROKE a manual tranny in half the first day I had my 4905. The bus starts vibrating really bad and before I could get pulled over and stopped the @$# end jumped up in the air and the drive shaft had broken at the forward u-joint and finally bound up breaking that huge tranny literally in half.

Hi every one,

I just spoke to Dave and he is on his way to my place to pick up a tranny. He is about 4-5 hrs. from my place so he has a good bit of driving to do today. Its no fun being stuck so lets just get him going again. He will need some help getting that monster out of his Jeep so if any one is close to him and can give him a hand please let him know. His number is 403-615-1555.

Good luck Dave, Duane.
Remember, anything's possible it's just iron, well, almost.
