I know this is a pretty arbitrary question. I have all three pieces of rear window glass for a 4104. One small pane has a 6" crack in one layer of glass. Of course they are foggy around the edges, but no bubbles. Someone may be interested in them. What do you think would be a fair price?

Maybe $500 for the set. I would say a nice used set (no cracks, milky edges, or de-lamination) should bring $1500-$2000 in my opinion.

If you know of the whereabouts of a PD4501 Scenicruiser - I would like to add the serial number to my registry of surviving Scenics.  www.tomsgarageonline.com

Well, Gordie, Ol' Buddy Ol' Pal  ;D ,

I suggest that you consider donating those old dusty relics to a worthy cause! After all, it IS the Season of Giving! Heh, heh, heh! My rear window is spider-webbed with cracks. The driver's side "D" window is good, the passenger side one is made of fiberglass that is formed precisely to fit. I've often wondered why that side is fiberglass...? I think maybe that back corner was a bathroom once upon a time, and so for privacy...? All kidding aside, I have a need for them if I can afford 'em. If you like, PM me so we can discuss.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!  :)

Hello Dan,

Welcome! The Bus Conversions dot com Bulletin Board is a great place for information, parts, resources and camaraderie. Perhaps you've been a lurker for some time and only just posted for your first time, in which case you already know how good it is.

Dan, I see you have one of the first '04's! Mine is one of the last - a '60 s/n 4983. A member named Jon Usle ("siberyd" here on the board) has been tracking down 4104's by serial number and will undoubtedly wish to add yours to the list (if he hasn't already).

I am currently looking for a rear window for my '04 and was wondering where to get a "new" rubber seal. I am definitely interested in what you have. What part of the country are you in, Dan? You mention you've had yours since '79. Wow! Is your coach in good running order? Is it still seated or has it been converted into a motorhome? Do you use it regularly? These are great ol' coaches!

Hi Kevin
Yes I chatted with Jon a while back when I started reading the board and gave him our bus info. I really enjoyed reading his BCM article. Email me pertaining to the new rubber seal. We reside in north central Florida. Our coach is in excellent running order. We converted it shortly after purchasing it seated from a California charter company in '79. We use it regularly. I need to get some photos of it posted. It is mostly original and extensively converted. One of the features of the 4104 that is our favorite is the rear window assembly. Just scratching the surface on the board. Need to get more organized and situated... :) These are great coaches!
