Roof leaks

I seem to have roof leaks. I'm surprised because I sent along all the seams with silicone caulk. I'm betting some of it is rivets unless squirrels have eaten my caulk!

I had three leaks and one internal door won't quite close. I smelled damp inside. Hoping I don't get mold to deal with.

I'm thinking I should head to the roof, the first dry day and put aluminum tape over every rivet and seam then paint over it.

Just spend the money on one of those roof coatings that seal and also reflect heat. Several have used it on here.
Does it leak from just standing or going down the road to leak?

My experience has been with roof leaks,it is usually the danged clearance lights. These things will pour the water.Buses or motor homes, makes no difference.Don t know how yours are mounted, but on my bus they used well nuts. The rubber parts of the things get old and crack .Just a thought but I would check these lights before I started a major roof sealing job!!

The Carpenter 3800's buses the school had here were welded seam roof panels there were no rivets and they leaked  ;D

Pray tell why I have seams of folded metal and rivets on my roof then?

From just standing. I reduced a cockpit leak by taping plkastic sheet over the roof vent. I think I might just do away with that vent. I'm not really sure what purpose it serves though.

My leaks aren't close to the clearance lights but it's something I'll have to look at when I'm up there next. I think I'll buy some Kool Seal and have Lowe's tint it to match my paintwork.

I have a really good leak where I replaced a bodged window replacement. I used that ghastly daptex as a sealant and I think its leaking like hell.

Didn't know they did welded rooves. Wouldn't they crack when the bus flexes?
