I have never done a gov auction. How do you get your item if it is out of state? Do they have shippers that will collect it and ship it?

Yes there are shippers they have a list they will furnish if you are successful watch the end user agreement, taxes and buyer fees

A $7500.00 Humvee ended up costing $11,882.00 the paper work is out of this world before you can pickup anything.

It took 5 weeks before I could get the Humvee's from 140 miles away in Barstow Ca to my place

Yes the fees can be a killer. Many years ago auctions where fun to do but now they add buyers fees, state taxes, sales tax in some cases and a fee just for bidding. But at times you can still get good deal. Shipping can be high if the item is big and heavy, sometimes they will only ship to a business with a loading dock and not a residental address. Make sure you read all the fine print. You can get expelled from bidding if you screw them to many times. Some times it pays to pick the item up if within a short distance.

Todd, when buying anything new from that site you always end up bidding against the supplier that sold it.

We ran into that on some new Cummins engines Cummins paid $69,000 for 3 engines to keep them out of the public's hand, and they wasted no time doing it we were setting good @ $19,000 then out of now where came the $69,000
