Still waiting for my tune up tools to arrive, decided to ID the injectors. They are marked GM 9F80. There is no tag on either valve cover. As far as I know the cam and all else is standard. Are these the correct injectors or should they be 90's?

Don't see any f in my manuals, but they used 80,85 or 90's in 6v-92T. In TA coach engines, they also used 70 and 75's.

100 injector = 400HP

95 injector =  350hp @ 1050lb/ft torque (or 375?)

90 injector =  335hp @ 1000lb/ft torque

85 injector =  315hp @ 950lb/ft torque

80 injector =  310hp @ 880lb/ft torque

75 injector =  277hp @ 830lb/ft torque

The F injectors are a low calibration injector, you are in for a treat figuring out injectors and turbos on 2 strokes.Injectors have 4 different calibrations and a double handful of timing pins.Depending on the blower, liners, turbo and gearing those are probably the right injectors for what the customer wanted and ordered

My choice  for a mechanical 92 is the 9200 injector, with proper turbo, you will need to watch your air box covers as they will leak.

What is meant by a "low calibration" Injector? Does anyone know which pin to use to set these injectors 9F80 or 9f90 injectors? The chart I have does not list either of these. Would it be the same as N80 or N90?

How about a model and serial number from the engine then we can tell what cams, injectors and blower it supposed to be.

The F injectors were used with a catalytic muffler in most cases so you probably have a smog engine with CA cams, these old engines get changed around so much you never know what you have in one, but if you give me the serial number I can tell you how it was shipped from DD

Makes sense since I bought the engine from CA. Muffler is still the one that was on the bus with the original 8v71. Will get numbers off dd rebuild tag tomorrow. Appreciate the help and patience.

With no tags on the valve covers, can anyone help with valve clearances for this engine? engine tag attached

It's 0.015 on all 2 strokes you kit will have a go/no go feeler gauge use it,and be damn sure you don't try to adjust the valves with the bridges

Could anybody provide hard part numbers or insight on the 400 hp 6V92T?  Would that setting require a big air to air charge cooler?  Larger oil cooler?  What exact turbo would be needed?  What exact turbo would be required for the 525 hp 8V92T? Also exact injector type and timing?  Reason I ask is that we have found that what is on the engine tags may not be what is on or in the engine.  HB
