This is the deceased owner and operator of the original Autorama car shows. Nice bus.

Those MC7s were nice buses. This one's exterior hasn't been molested with a front cap for example. It looks great. If I was looking for a bus, I'd be looking at that one. The interior could always be remodeled.

Bless their hearts! They are asking how much for that thing? Whoever wrote the description should be hired by somebody. I actually lol'ed reading it. It is a fantastic read, folks.

I really hope they get their asking price.

Thanks for posting, Dave.
Sold - MCI 1995 DL3. DD S60 with a Allison B500.

I also wonder what the old girl will actually $go$ for?  Also wondering about the serviceability of the running gear and various inside guts?  An old Allison 6 speed?  A HT 70?  Is that tranny still supported?  Or is it actually a 740 which came out around 1972-3?  Or a 640 type?  Somebody might just steal this cool old Bus Conversion.  Also curious about specifics.  Just me.  HB of CJ (old coot)

It's gotta be an HT 740 with the 8v-71 ( or as they put it V8 71) It was a nice bus 11 years ago when I saw it at the Autorama. He and Chuck Barris were drinking a beer outside next to it. By now it looks pretty outdated inside. Motor doesn't look to bad in the pictures anyway and they are a little easier to pull out of a MC7 than they are out of my 5C. Not as tight and a lot of headroom as you can see in the picture.
I thought you guys might get a kick out of it and the read is pretty funny. This guy probably sold freezers to Alaska!....

edit; sorry MC 8 I should know because the fronts the same as mine which is after an 8.

Something like 50K real miles?  Owned by someone (original owner) who knew how to take care of it?  Stored inside?  Yeah, I'd look at it.  $50K is a lot of $$ these days, but I'd look at it.

Sorry not a 7 but a MC8. I briefly saw the hump on the roof and assumed it was a 7.

If you consider that the whole bus is likely rust free, having been kept inside and having low miles. And that the drivetrain, also low miles and supposedly in good shape, only leaves the upstairs to remodel some time in the future. You could drive it off and use it right away, and do some renos, if any, later. I like that vintage MCIs, having driven them back in the '70s. You can't expect to get a nice bus like this for 15 to $20000.

On the other hand, for 40 to 50, you could probably get something more late model with a 4 stroke engine, like what Clifford mentions once in a while.

It is funny how, even though our MC5C is as nice or nicer, I still see a good one like this once in a while and wish I could at least go look at it...
