Hey Folks,
It looks like I may have an issue.
I always kept my bus plugged into 110 to keep the batteries up, etc. but when I checked it yesterday, it was off. And I mean COMPLETELY off. And, it won't turn back on. So far, the only thing I could check on it was the small circuit breaker by the line in cables. It's getting 110 but it won't come on. Any suggestions?? recommendations?? tips? tricks?
Man, I hope it didn't go south.
  Thanx a bunch....

     Hi;
As I understand it,  Xantrex bought out Trace inverters some time ago.
I would think your Xantrex is very similar to my inverter. (Trace)
I would suggest you check the voltage on your house batteries.  My
inverter needs 24vdc to operate the inverter. One of your batteries/cells
         could have just died.
                                        Good luck,   Merle.
         P.S.
My trace has been runing for 15yrs plus and no problems.

Nope, that doesn't look like it. It says it's a SW Series on the outside. model SW4024MC2
just curious if there is anything I can check or something I should know.
Thanx!!!

often there is a hold in winding/coil that fails on a contactor/relay.

The reason I asked is that I know a reputable tech in Bradenton FL.
he might could give you a few clues or I know you can send it to him.
He can usually tell u over the phone if it is salvagable.

I bought a Xantrex, not that model, off of craigslist. It didn't work when I hooked it up. I pulled the cover off and there was a small fuse on the circuit board that was blown. Replaced it and the unit has worked for three years. Might be worth a look.

Ditto on the inside fuse. Power surge got mine. Not difficult to replace.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! :) :)
I'll check mine and keep my fingers crossed. I sure don't want to have to buy a new one and put a bunch more time into installing it.
I'll let ya know what happens.
Thanx Gents!

Verify that you have 24V at the termnials. Inverter requires DC power to operate.
Pull the AC end cover plate and verify 120VAC present.
Starting points. Before taking any other covers off.

In regards to that fuse, where about is it?? I could not find it in the manual and the way I have it mounted, I'd REALLY hate to pull the whole cover. But........if I gotta, I gotta.

If the house batteries it is connected to are dead, it won't come on.
