Feel free to move this to bus projects

Update:

Got the thermostat hooked up to the new A/c unit today and all works well. Have to wait until my ducting arrives to determine where and how the A/c will actually sit in its place.
Also wired the existing furnace to the new T-stat but I have to figure out why it doesn't turn off on its own like it used to when you lower the temp. I have to now turn it off manually. ☺️
Susan and I did take our so called maiden voyage in it today as I backed it up about 200' in the driveway and moved it over then pulled back forward so I could plug in to the 50 amp plug!
Yea we were both smiling so we think it's gonna be a fun venture, once we get it done! 😜

Seriously? You've had that thing almost a month now and you haven't been driving it all over the place honking the air horn at everyone?

Updated work!
Cleaned 90% of the Mn., race track dirt and dust out.
Got all the old laminate flooring removed.
Removed the two high stepping entry steps and installed a 3rd but might have to go back to 2  because of limitations on step space.
Installed new tile flooring this past week as you see in the pic.
Cleaned all window screens.
Susan just about has one cushion for the dinette re-upholstered with new fabric.
Deciding on whether to rip out plastic shower and re-tile a new one or just go with what's there and not be happy! Really leaning on ripping the old out and knowing what I've got.
I have a really nice flex steel couch and matching love seat if someone wants to make me a good deal on. We're going with leather. The ones for sale are light tan in color and make into a bed.

Looking good. Funny you posted this today. Heather was just asking me "hey, have you heard from ace lately?"

Nice looking rig Ace!  just curious, what tile backer board/ membrane did you set the tile on top of it?
my baby is still at jb's was hoping to bring her home last week but I guess he got an inundated with rv service calls . I'll be calling him today to see what the timeline is on me coming down and driving her up
what's the length of your rig anyway?

Ace

Thanks Scott! Been really busy at work and now trying to get things done on the truck along with my racing kart.  Thought often about where you guys were and how your bus has been running! Tell her hi for me!

Lou the truck is 42' overall and as for the backer board? It's 1/4 inch Duroc I think is the name! I used 17 1/2" porcelain tile offset pattern. It's only my second tile job ever. My first was in the bus using the same tile layers on a 45.

Haven't seen or talked to JB since having my bus worked on a few months ago. I'm sure he's busy like the rest of us!

Since the tile job, I've ripped out the pre fab shower and almost ready to put backer board up for the new tile there. Gotta get the A/c in soon though as its getting pretty hot here!

Hey Ace,
I know that isn't a H3-40, so if you can ever tear yourself away from your beautiful project, maybe you could update your signature so we can all see what it really is. Glad to see it coming along and looking so good. Hard to believe it's 42' long. And that's some awesome ceiling height. Cool. ;D

Scott & Heather

That be a truck conversion. But he's still a bus man at heart. And there's a bunch of us here that would give him a friendly kick in the pants if he ever sold his Prevost

I consider a conversion just that whether a bus, truck, pop up camper or whatever!
It's about sharing ideas learning and getting out in the open air  not to mention meeting new people and making them friends!

Only simple solution to R&R the shower valve IF the time ever comes without ripping out the shower since the previous owner/builder designed it to be on the curb side of the truck with no provision to access it or the plumbing.
