I have an exit door on the drivers side amid ship. Any thoughts on what to do with it? I haven't done a layout yet to see if it can stay but I think it won't be accessible.

   It really depends on whether you need it or not in your interior arrangement.  Doors take up floor/living space.  I don't think that many people have two doors for that reason.  But if it would be an advantage for your needs, then keep it.  I only have a "midship door" but Gary Throneberry ("Garhawk") took one look at my photos and said "why don't you put in a driver's door right even with the driver's cab, it would be a lot more convenient" and he's right.  But it is way down the priority list right now.

there is an advantage to that door.

Think refrigerator and furniture stuffing in through front door...

Many of us would love to have a door such as this hiding somewhere.

Even if you design for it to be normally blocked with the bits in front removable, the ability to do a quick refrigerator swap on the road saves a vacation?

My bus has a similar emergency exit door, although on mine it's right at the back at the bus in (what is now) the bedroom. I haven't done it yet but I plan to install a miniature slide-out in the opening which will contain a clothes wardrobe. Having cut other openings in the side of the bus for slide-outs (with all the attendant structural work required), it's really nice to have been provided with one (albeit a very small one) that doesn't require any of this work. It's a bit of a shame that yours doesn't appear to be full-height though - it looks in the photo like it doesn't reach the floor

 We have a large (5')door from the wheelchair lift on the passenger side of our bus. We left it as we went with a side hall in our bus (mci102a3) .This came in handy with the building process as the double bed was built outside and put in through this door as will the 10 c/f fridge hopefully this weekend.

There was a door half way down the driver's side on the Courier 96. It was in the bathroom in ours. The PO had left it functional for emergency exit. I welded shut when we did the interior renovation. I figured we could get out the windows in case of fire.
