Hey all,

My headlights just quit working, I think the relay is working but there appears to be a fuse in the front electrical panel. It may be that I blew the headlights out because I have noticed my volt gauge has been reading just shy of 28 volts. Any other thoughts or ideas for diagnosing the problem?

thanks

Hi Rick,

Sounds like your ground block at the bottom of the front electrical panel may have corrosion!

Exact same thing happened to me last year and I found 1 terminal stud completely broken off. Easy fix

by drilling a new hole and installing a SS bolt to remount the ground wires.

Hope it's that simple!

Here's a tip... don't drive at night.

:D

Seriously, start with a multi-meter and check your voltages at the lights. Check the ground wire, as Nick said.

Follow the schematic. Hopefully it wasn't bastardized.
