Hey Guys,
I finally have my engine back into the engine compartment and am now connecting up all the tentacles needed to make her run.  I have a couple of questions I do not have information about and could use expert information as I only have a Eagle Parts book to work from and it does not give lubrication amounts or recommendations of what to use.

1) About how much 90 wt. gear oil will it take to fill the pumpkin, (rear end) after being completely drained a couple of years ago?

2) About how much power steering fluid will it take to energize my NEW power steering system which I never had before?

3) What kind of lubricant do you all use for your power steering system?

Thanks ahead of time
Gary

Takes almost a 5 gal pail for the drop box and differential 4 to 6 qts of Dexron 111 or ATF  for the power steering you are looking good Gary

Great news, Gary.   Here's hoping it's a smooth run til you're finished.

That's one clean looking set-up, Gary. You deserve a lot of credit for sticking with this so faithfully.
Best of luck!

Thanks Cliff for information on lubes and believe me there is no contest with me and Steve.  We both have worked so long on our Eagles we just want to sit back with the engine door open on our buses and enjoy the view of our labor.  I hate to see that pretty paint burn off.  I hope the insulation of the exhaust manifold and entire exhaust system will help contain the heat from the engine.  We'll see. Thanks again for information and best wishes.  gotta git R Done
