I have a inline 6-71 that's been sitting about ten years,,whats the best way to check and make sure that none of the injectors are stuck ..anything else to watch out for and check before trying to start? ,,,Thanks

Just take the valve cover off and move the rack.  If it is very stiff or doesn't move at all and it is an old style rack, at least one injector is stuck.  If it is a newer spring loaded rack you will see if one or more injectors don't move while the others do.  To tell which injectors are stuck you just wiggle at their rack, loose ones will wiggle and turn a bit, stuck ones won't.  I undid some plumbing and worked out a way to pump paint thinner (varsol) through the head, that cleaned them up and they were unstuck in an hour.

With the valve cover off turn the engine over by hand to be sure the plunger is not stuck in the down position on any of the injectors also
