This is today's message from Mr. Good-Wrench-Wanna-Be-Eagle Bus-Nut-Guy BoxcarOkie it concerns a name mix up and clarification.  Some numb-chuck who seems to be stopped on the on-ramp to the bus board information highway, has once again, got it wrong.

(Nothing new)

Name recognition is important, at least to me it is.  It has been stated that the late Dale Earnhardt had a name recognition factor of over 90%, which is extremely high in America.  And we all know that ID Theft is rampant due to the computer age.  So names are important to all of us.

Having established that, we will move on.  Mr. Numb-chuck says that "Don #1 and Don #2 are giving him problems" You can find this inane comment on the now Infamous ROS Still Wanting To Buy A Bus string.

Just so you know, "I have never posted one word on this thread."

Freely I admit to not being aware of anyone assigning numbers to members of this board.  But if that is the case, I suppose I would be #1, as I was here first.  Donald (as his signature line has said for years) would be #2, he came later.

We used to have a Don Fairchild, so I suppose that if you were to take all three.  Don #1, Don #2 and Don Fairchild, put them all together, you would have a Dragnet?

"Don-de-Don,Don."
(No good huh?  Well whadya expect for free?

As I feel I am a fair and honest sort, I will give all of you one other way to separate the Don's.

Donald (Don #2) will be the guy at Burger King pulling on a door clearly marked "PUSH."

Don #1 will be the guy outside Denny's beating the living crap out of the newspaper machine that just stole his two quarters!

One more thing:  "There is not truth to the rumor that BoxcarOkie is actually a cyborg sent back from the future to kill Sarah Conner. That simply is NOT true." (it is true however, that I do make an occasional trip to the Mother Ship every now and then. That I will admit to)

Have a good weekend

I was going to point out the post was meant to be humor, but obviously that might not be how it is viewed.

Why would you assume that?  I do this all the time but I have always thought it meant that the SOB who installed the door did it wrong.

With regard to the original post, I once served on a board where there were 3 Bobs.  That was moderately confusing for the minute taker during conference calls so we resolved that by referring to ourselves as BobOfTheEast, BobOfTheMiddle and ........... Bobofthenorth.

I haven't assumed anything. I am seeking a clarification, hence the perhaps.

It is never easy being a Don (which means leader of men by the way).  "It never dawned on me" or "The crack of Dawn" ... I just hate it when they take my name in vain.  Hahahahahahaha ....

The post apparently had some regrettable illustrations and I will admit to that.

My point was we have only one Don, and that is me.  He is Donald, always has been, the only thing that we share in common, is in the end, we are both more than likely going to get the same sized hole in the ground.

That is about it.

One thing that really would irritate someone would be to see his name being bantered around by two clowns in a pissing contest and used in a negative way, that irks me somewhat.  You two high-maintenance Drama-Queens want to duke out that is fine.  Now that ROS has been run off, I could see where one of you would be bored and the other lonesome as all get out.

Just leave me out of it.  And that is the gist of it.  I never posted anything about ROS here or anywhere else.

Thank you all for your comments, I agree with all of you.*

Again, have a great weekend, stick a fork in me, I am done.

* So Donald ... The answer is yes.  You are right again.

As I thought. Personal attacks are what you do best. And once again it will probably be allowable.

PS  show me where I bantered your moniker around.... I replied to vern and made no comment regarding you... unless of course you are not calling me a clown, if so, welcome back.

Time to say whoa.  Seems all points have been made. Locking post before it nukes itself.  Let's all take a deep breath and then get back to the love of buses and bus nut brotherly love.  ;)
