Ace

got my pc working after finding the pieces needed to download pics.

With that done, I have downloaded new pics to my site showing the NEW 2 car garage/workshop that is under construction. 3 days of good fast work have been completed but the delay now is waiting for the trusses.

Here is the link to the workshop site!

I'd say that'll be pretty termite proof. And darn near indestructible. Umm... Well, don't go running a nice Prevost into it or anything.  ;D

Nice!

Looks great ACE, pretty jealous of such a nice spot to work. Sure beats the space I have out front of the house when the neighbors are gone. :D

Keep us posted.

Thanks

Looks really cool Ace!

Have you decided to put HVAC into it so the vehicles can stay comfortable?  ;D

That is nice.  Looks like you did in three days what it took me about 6 years to get done and I did not have all that white stuff on the ground. Mine is 35 by 70 and 17 feet tall.  Sure makes it nice to have the bus in the garage.

Thanks guys for the compliments. I just wish it were done so I could move all my junk er stuff in it!

Ed I know what you mean! I wish I could have afforded one like yours but after just purchasing the house and property, I was pushing my luck with Susan on what I got (20x48) as it is! For now the bus will have to stay outside but that's ok. I hope to be in it and on the road instead of it being inside a building!

The footers and block went up fast. The trusses are the hold up. It seems as though truss companies don't want to build them until they are drawn by an architect and then signed off by the contractor, stamped with an approval from the truss company , sent back to the contractor for another signature and then back to the truss company to be built per the specs.

They say at least 2 weeks maybe 3 so in the meantime we wait! I thought it would be that long just to get the needed inspections but they were called in late at night and were inspected the next day!

Oh well...here we sit!

The reason I was able to get a garage the size I have is that was what the wife wanted.  She was the one who got me into boating, water skiing, dune buggys, jeeps, and MH, The bus was my fault but she did not dissagre.
The Harleys were how we met.
Really looks good

Just not sure how to interpret that, "I have NO luck" comment pal.....but I won't worry about it.  ;D

Sure Nick...the next time we get together we'll have to try "Elvira"!  I do a great job on the 'Oom papa, oom papa, oom papa mau mau'!

Still waiting for the news of a house warming or garage warming, Ace.  We're starting to think in terms of winnding this old gal up and logging some miles down in south FL to see the girls and head back home for the summer.  Would like to get some floor down though..........

Ace

Bob I have told you 100 times, all you have to do is call!

The shop isn't done yet but getting close! The trusses came yesterday but the contractor is on another job for now but he will return soon!

Come on down! We'll find something to do!

Keep in mind, my schedule is full this Saturday, next Friday, and that following Sunday  After that I would have to look to see where I am!

Not a problem, Boo Boo..just wanted to twist your tail a bit.  We know we're heading for south FL to see the girls sometime during the latter part of April...so will get in touch.

Thought we might do Broward and Martin Counties and come back north and stop and see Fred and Caroline Hobe on the way home...have to check with Fred and see how he's feeling.

Then, instead of driving 500 miles in one day...I could get interested in stopping either in mid-GA or go over the I-95 and aggravate the Farnsworths's or the La Bombard's...or Kyle or Uncle Ned or ................

In any event...we're going to act like retired folks right after I finish this last cabinet and get the floor installed.

Schmoozes to Susan & Bud....
