Like heavy rubber gloves and full face and eye protection.  Also hearing protectors when around big noise ... like screaming 2 stroke Detroits on the dyno and such.  But ... we did not at a younger age.  Oh well.  HB of CJ (old coot)  I also forgot the smell of hot metal and the sound of arc welders ... and the feeling of money running out of our wallets. :)

I have had good results with:

  • wash hands( i like a good oil based soap or lava soap)

    rub baby oil on hands

    wash hands again

If you don't want to buy baby oil you can make your on and squeeze them yourself.  :D :o
It's all fun and games til someone gets hurt. ;)
