Hey Guy's:This is a peanut deal ,but it aggravates me to death to have something on a vehicle that doesn't work .I need a transmitter for a vs8890 Stealth burglar alarm .I believe the transmitter number is a vs8701 .I think this company went out of business about the time my Prevost was converted. As I said ,with all the important things to talk about, this is a peanut deal but if anyone can help me find one of these things I would appreciate it very much!!

A generic 'learning' transmitter would almost certainly work, and they can be bought very cheaply on Ebay and elsewhere, but the problem is that you'd need a working original transmitter for the new one to learn the signal from. So that probably doesn't help much.

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

I had an aftermarket alarm in a car once that if you hit the valet button and the key in such a matter you could program just about any key fob to it. Maybe check the internet and YouTube for answers. It's amazing what I have find it there 8)
